Becoming - The living ceremony
“For the ones who are evolving —
This space is for you.”
There comes a time on the reclamation path, particularly as a woman, a space holder, a being crossing the threshold of her 40s
where we realise that this journey is not simply about becoming less.
It’s about becoming.
About shedding the skins and the roles, yes,
but also about allowing a new artistry to take shape.
I’ve lived it.
I see it.
In the women who sway between becoming “less” and simply becoming more aware, more intentional, more wholly themselves.
Women who soften and stretch into new levels of strength and adornment, not from a place of performance, but devotion.
This piece was born after feeling, experiencing, and witnessing the multifaceted nature of our becoming:
from clinging to labels and identities
to inviting flow.
From vegan to keto.
From yoga to strength training.
From minimalist to maximalist.
From hiding to adorning.
From certainty to curiosity.
Life itself is the ceremony.
Our task is not to clamp down on joy, beauty, or growth.
It’s to create, as hands moved by Love.
To be sculptors of our lives, moved by God.
If your beauty standards shift over time, and I hope they do
let yourself witness it.
Let yourself be humbled by your own evolution.
Let yourself delight in how your hands, your heart, your spirit keep weaving new ways to belong to yourself and the Earth.
You are not meant to stay the same.
You are meant to become
over and over and over again.
In honour of the tides.
In honour of the breath.
In honour of the sacred wheel turning within you.
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for becoming.
With love and devotion
